Antique planks

“Tavelle” and ‘sottotavelle’ are hollow bricks that are used in the construction of exposed attics, wall cladding and structures, furniture and furnishings. Their origin is ancient, with roots between the second half of the nineteenth century and the early twentieth century. Also known as flat tiles, terracotta or brick tiles can be handmade or drawn or stamped using industrial techniques.The choice of antique tiles guarantees the artisanal origin of such parallelepipeds used in construction to make floors or as a complement to wood-beam attic frames.
